Note: events may change due to livestock availability.

Goat Roping *

New event this year…come on out and try to rope a goat!  No roping or riding experience necessary to have fun.  We will have some help on hand to help you throw a rope like a cowboy!  We have some beautiful buckles for our boy and girl winner this year!

Two Divisions: Boys and Girls

Chicken Scramble *

You won’t want to miss this event!  All I can say is it involves two teens, a chicken, a wheelbarrow and a lot of laughs.

Open to ages 12-19 – Two person team event

Rollin’ Relay *

Two members will roll a tractor tire across the arena, and the waiting two members will roll it back!  And to make it more interesting, at least one member of the team must be a girl!  Fastest team wins this one!  In a new twist this year, we have added a new challenge….your team will have a bag of items to put on before you start moving the tire.  Then, when you reach your partners to tag up…they have to take the items from you and put them on themselves before they can start running with the tire…first team to cross the finish line WEARING the items wins!

Open to ages 12-19 – 4 person team event (at LEAST one team member must be a girl!)

Piggy Back Hustle *

Team Sorting *

Fun to watch and participate!  All you have to do is get the livestock to move from one pen to another, right?  The catch, they have to go into the new pen in number order.  Grab a friend and come out for a chance to win a beautiful custom Roots N’ Boots buckle in this working cowboy event.

Buckles Awarded in two age divisions:  12 to 15 and 16 to 19. Team with the most livestock sorted in one minute wins in each age division.  Two person teams – both team members must be in the same age division.

Ultimate Steer Toss *

This is a definite crowd favorite!  Often referred to as “chute doggin”, individuals will attempt to lay a calf or steer on it’s side! You will compete one at a time, and fastest time will win!

Two divisions:  Boys and Girls with prizes awarded in 1st through 3rd place in each.
